  1. Hi Mike. Welcome back buddie! Seems like all is in hand!
  2. Can you feel it when you run your finger over it? If you can, what does it feel like? I'd be tempted to try a clay bar.....
  3. Here you go - viewtopic.php?f=13&t=46508 Add to that topic and I'll lock this one.
  4. Insurance drops if you limit the milage. No doubt about it in my case. For less than 5k miles I'm not really sure if it makes any difference though. Maybe a specialist 'collector' policy or something???
  5. Flaming people that think racing a 1988 Nova SR and beating it is cool? Sure you can. Go for it. Just remember not to make anyone cry. Posting up 'ossum rase with a clio bruv innit. i beet it eesy' is still not acceptable round here in my opinion. It won't be removed but if you cry you'll get laughed at by me. I however can't say if the other mods would be more or less sympathetic..... On a serious note though, driver safety is paramount and taken seriously by the team.
  6. Really?? Either my car is a bit strangely quick for what it is or yours is underpowered.. You should have easily pulled on the megane.. My old 190BHP EK9 type R with 1.8, weighing 1000KG could out accelerate that car slightly... They are not that fast, only have 226BHP i believe... Motorway you should have definitely pulled easily.. My hero. Why the sarcasm dude? Im just stating my experiences with these cars and what should have happened under normal circumstances. Why the sarcasm? Have a read around the forum..... How many 'My cars fastest' 'My c*cks biggest' 'My Dads hardest' posts do you see on here? There is a reason that these threads aren't created. It's because generally the membership of this forum is not interested in reading about racing on the street as it's the ultimate form of automotive chav and 95% bull anyway. From a club standpoint it's illegal to break the speed limits and racing on public roads is extremely dangerous. Now I'm not saying you can't go and enjoy the car as you most definitely should. Trackdays are wonderful if you want to explore the limits of your driving ability or a go along to a club meet, driving sensibly with like minded people and enjoying a chat about cars and everything else is a great way to spend a summer evening. You will also find that this club forum self moderates to a large degree as the majority are looking to have a laugh and threads like this one give the opportunity. So in summary, Chavs get flamed on here. VXR Astras are quick but suffer from torque steer. 350Z are heavy but comfy. The chicks dig Zeds more than Chavstras. Illegal street racing is for people that use Dom Torreto for 'self pleasure' material and quite possibly lasting 10 seconds or less.
  7. to the club. This is the quietest weekend on the club forum of the year so a bad time to introduce yourself! Everyone is on a big club meet in Wales this weekend! So is the UpRev booked already then?

  9. Personally I'd keep them to run in winter. Don't want to get those R35 wheels covered in salt etc..... Rays shouldn't cause an increase in insurance, they were a £100 optional extra on pre 2006 cars and standard from 06 onwards. So they are an optional extra at worst not a modification.
  10. Buy Ians HKS Supercharger Kit if it's still available. It has everything there and ready to go so no hidden costs.
  11. Every VXR I've driven has handled like a pig. Torque steer city. Plus I'd still rather be cruising in the Zed!
  12. Only cause it's rich tea biscwit!
  13. And ALL S2000 owners are hairdressing poofs. even those selling S2000s I'm sure that's the correct answer Ross......
  14. I hope that was a bad joke...... If I believed that the attack was in any way racially motivated I would have been disgusted and I certainly would not have posted it on the forum. I just liked the comment that the guy fell off the curb after stabbing the Marine.
  15. Straighteners..... I know nothing about them!
  16. Something VAG. Octavia or Passat. Or a Volvo. Something has to give and 40mpg in a large estate with a sporty drive for 3k...... tall order. I'd ditch the sporty drive and go luxo cruiser estate to be honest. Get all the toys and compliant suspension for a comfy ride.
  17. Hey McFly, is there anyone home? Think McFly. Think!
  18. Its the Gaelic version of top gear the lad was tellin me neil lol. Our cars are fetured in it....... will be out in aug Frishkenma! Girl I was at school with presented De a-nis? I remember watching Galeic news every night before home and away or some such rubbish when I was a kid! I knew Postman Pat and Fireman Sam theme tunes in Gaelic too because they were on so often on Grampian TV!
  19. You've got a Zed...you obviously did something right at school... He's got an R34 Skyline GTR......
  20. I'm sooooooooo tempted to edit the post above to something humorous.....
  21. I'm pretty sure that smilie could use the :airbags: tag.
