  1. I can't be bothered reading all the posts if I'm honest.... I can't spell and I'm not the best at punctuation and grammar so I won't comment on that aspect of this thread. What can I say, we all have our flaws. Text speak however is a pile of rubbish and I will not decipher it as if someone can't be bothered to type a word properly then I can't be bothered to read it. If I'm honest I think some of the grammar nazis need a kick in the groin. If it's text speak then game on but if it's making fun of people for spelling mistakes or a missing comma then in my eyes it's cyber bullying. Simple as that.
  2. Mustangs are pretty rubbish. I'd rather get a camaro or challenger but most companies don't list them on the net. Still, I'd rather be driving a mustang than a Hyundai.
  3. I did that and all the fit nubile nurses came into my room to gasp in amazement and ask if they could touch it. It was a private hospital though so that's what you're paying for I guess......
  4. Very nice indeed. Always liked Meisters. The roof of Union Square is where the cool kids hang out is it? edit - that is a VERY tasteful Supra in my opinion. There are so many which have been ruined (IMO) by mods that are not to my taste. That one however is very much to my taste.
  5. I think it might also be worth asking What budget to buy? What budget to restore? What experience do you have? What space you have? Driveway or garage etc..... Time scale? What you like? What you want? That might help. No point in suggesting a BL car (vitually all parts available from Rimmer Bros) if you want a french hatch from 1988
  6. And 6x6. Six pieces of info with maximum of six words.
  7. Was talking to Jayne about this and we might go for 'Mustang or similar' as most companies seem to have piles of Camaros. I can always hustle something good when I arrive.
  8. My Mums best friend lives in Seattle. When my Mum and Dad went out for her wedding they took my sister and neice so rented a beast of a lake house. They didn't stay in the centre at all. I'm sure I can ask my Mums friend for advice though.
  9. My mate has a spitfire that he's rebuilt. He recently bought a 'matching numbers' all original Nova Sport which is stripped in his garage. My advice would be buy a rolling restoration and not a bag of bolts with a rusty shell. That way it'll have a fighting chance to be completed and survive.
  10. Lego is ace HOWEVER recently all the kits are pre formed, make one thing and can't make anything else. This is rubbish and sapping imagination from kids. When I was wee you get lego and you could make a few models out of one set and all the bits were fairly standard. I have piles of lego at Mums house, some of it was hers so it lasts! My Niece likes to play lego with me and sometimes my Dad as we are Engineers and have imagination!
  11. Great car Rich, as I said on FB, enjoy it and have fun polishing it! If I can offer any advice for cleaning it I'd say be very careful if you're taping the window frames as the paint has a habit of peeling even when blue 3M tape is used! I had a great weekend in one when my Dad was given the XKR Silverstone by the local Jag dealer 10 years ago! Brilliant car.
  12. I fancied a challenger or Camaro. For the rental period I need the prices were as such. Mustang = 1 Mustang convertible = Mustang x 1.2 Camaro SS = Mustang x 2 Challenger RT = Camaro X 2 Fancy Mustang with stripes and stuff = Camaro x 2 Big ass Cadillac = Mustang I wonder if I could get a non RT Challenger or something..... Now I'm not bothered about actually paying for it however I'd just like to see whats available for comparison and need to decide if a Camaro really would be twice as ace as a Mustang as the price difference is basically a weeks decent accomodation.... The car needs to be able to carry 3 weeks worth of luggage to various locations and probably a wedding dress and full kilt outfit so the corvette convertible was ruled out!
  13. Looking at hiring something 'cool' in the states and wondering if anyone knows who hires fun or different cars? I know Hertz do but that's it! Will be picking up and dropping off at Miami International Airport so no 'different pick up and drop off' restrictions will apply. We were looking at a Camaro or something similar but are open to other suggestions too.
  14. 620bhp... titanium exhaust... yes. Bodykit. No thanks.
  15. I drove my mates Mums V8 version. Lovely open gate manual. I like them much more after driving one.
  16. The sound that thing makes is AWESOME!
  17. I think Martin misunderstood. The OP is looking for a 370Z with a manual box and finished in Quartz. I think Martin thought the OP was looking for a manual gearbox for a 370Z.
  18. hmmm yeah i believe so why do you ask? They look quite low profile. Lower than I'd have thought. Looks almost like a square setup.... What size wheels and tyres do you have all round? erm on the front there 235/35/19 and the rear 265/30/19. they where on there when i got it but when it comes to changing them i`ll prob get the rear on 35`s That explains it! You wouldn't think 5% would be that noticeable but it makes a lot of difference to the looks!
  19. I've never done it but I think it's removable from the front. Others car confirm though! Sarnie did it so it can't be hard!
  20. There are two big holes left IIRC. There are pictures on the forum for sure. Ian certainly has posted some in the past..... Anyway, the holes are easily covered by the plate being stuck on.

  22. On another note altogether, are your rear tyres the correct size?
  23. As long as it's a manly hug with back slaps. You squeeze me and I'll drop you! Stick up a project thread if you have one.
  24. ~The lines at the side are like Veilside V2 but the centre part isn't.....
  25. Or if you are a dog person No need to keep quiet but many people have come on here posting races and my personal favourite was a 'kill list' and each and everyone has ended the same way. With the OP crying into his copy of Fast and Furious. You are more than welcome to post information, we are mostly car nuts. I for one would be interested in seeing pics of the starlet you mentioned earlier. 'Banter' is also very welcome. I will however continue to post sarcastic remarks when people post up about what they have raced.
