Alas the paint on the Z is noted as not being the best in the world. Its probably a combination of thin/weak paint and the fact that the Z's front is quite flat, making it more prone to full on hits from stones/gravel rather than them being drawn up the car due to the rake of the front. (try finding as many stone chips on a ford probe or honda aerodeck) To be honest many have said that the paint on tha Z is rubbish, but I also have a MK4 Golf, and the paint on that is crap too. Chips very easily, even on the bonnet. The Golf is silver though, so the chips do not stand out any where near as much as they do on the Z. I would assume most cars using new water based (cheaper) paints will suffer similar strength issues. Just that the profile of the Z make it more prone than other cars. As I have just recently found a lovely door bang and scratch on the side of my Z, Ill be looking to get chips/dents away out to do that and the whole front end before investing in some protection film.

Taken from a "cruise" forum: "This would have to be the best display of stupidity we've seen at the Ace in a while. This woman borrowed a bike she couldn't ride, went out on it with 5" stileto's, no helmet, no gloves, no jacket, no nothing! She didn't respect the cold tyres and proceded to rev the bike and dump the clutch whilst still going round the roundabout, so she promptly left a black mark down the road and high-sided, smashing into the ground pretty badly. An ambulance was called and the woman got what she wanted, to be the centre of attention. She wasn't critically hurt but suffered bad road-rash and a heavy bang to the head. Completely pointless."

It will come. My current XBOX is chipped. I cant play xbox live, but I have used xbconnect. which is software that uses your pc to connect your xbox to others. The very good thing about xbconnect, is that it lets you run some non "live" enabled games that you would otherwise only be able to play using system link. Im sure the same thing will come for the 360. It will just be a matter of time.

Hi Gus, and everyone else..... This is unfortunately a problem with the coding of the system. We have changed this in the board configuration, however, this will only affect guests and new users signing up after the change was made. In order to correct this for individuals, thentheir individual profile wil needto be changed. So, if the time is incorrect for anyone, go to your profile, and change the timezone to GMT+1. All should then be fixed. It may be possible to change this for all users en mass, but we then run the risk of making a mess of the settings for all our non UK users. As soon as we have the time to inspect and alter the coding to remove this issue, we will do it. Until now, its down to individuals Im afraid. A little messy, but thats the fix for now folks....

Bargain GT4 Final Price £23500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chesterfield replied to scoobylawGT4's topic in For Sale
Hi, As Dorian has pointed out, we would normally ask that members only use our for sale section after being contributing member for some time (or post level) however I understand there have been difficulties registering on the forum, and as such this has prevented you from accessing for a number of days. Sorry about that. Glad its fixed though. -
Anyone else waiting with baited breath to see what is in store for our "gas guzzling" motors in Mr Browns budget? Apparently £200 road tax for anything over 250g/km CO2 emmissions - so us with our 280g/km are in the firing line... Why they dont take into account mileage I do not know.

Hi Derek, Hope you dont mind, but ill move this to the off topic area, as its not really Z related. Ive decided I want to go and visit the Millau Bridge in southern France - not really the area you are going, but it certainly looks like a sight to see. There was a documentary on a few weeks ago detailing the construction of it - an engineering marvel! Ive never really visited Northern France - just driven through it from Zebrugge on my way to Calais.

Oh crap - sorry... Ive been up to my eyes in it. Stand OK by me, Dont need a show car space, and will camp over. Ta, Chris.

On my Golf there are several features that can be enabled using software that interfaces through the ODBII port on the car. Simple change of a value from 0 to 1 and the car auto locks at 10mph, same to make it beep when you lock it etc. Im assuming that given the right software and interface the same may be possible with the Z.

Removing Winter Grime of your nice shiny wheels..
Chesterfield replied to steve_jones's topic in Car Detailing
Another nice tip is WD40. Spray some on a cloth and give em a wipe over once done, It doesnt stop the dirt from building up, but it makes it easy to get off. Cheaper than wax too. -

You might want to check that it is OK to use on enamel baths. If it isn't then it could spell trouble with the lacquer on rims... Results look good though! -
New Midlands Meet 2 ( Report & Pics Added )
Chesterfield replied to sickboy's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
I found the pub in the end. Had a nice fun 20mins or so on the B roads! Had a good look round some modified skylines when I got there. Had a swift coke and came home! LOL. Bloomin traffic lights caught me out. I did notice an MX-5 in some sideways action too. LOL. -
Ooooo - now that sounds good. I wonder if it can be programmed into a UK spec car?

Off to wash the car and get the plates on. Sadly I cant find the locking wheel not remover, so you'll have to make do with my standard wheels today! LOL. -
Yes it can.... Why do I now get the urge to go out for some back end action (ooerr.)

I’ve posted this here as it will cover a couple of items. Once again, rather embarrassingly, I have to apologise for another site outage. Barring acts of God, I think we have now had every circumstance conspire against us to cause an outage. This time, it was the accountants. Apparently someone forgot to update the records, and subsequently switched off our server. The time difference to our Californian hosts and the fact it was the weekend made this unnecessary outage longer than it needed to be. In an effort to make it up to you guys, I am about to post up another great members discount for you. (you didn’t think I would stop working on the site, just because it was offline did you? ) Any questions please ask.. Sorry again folks.

Most I ever had working for me was 35. 20 in Leicester and 15 in Chesterfield. It was good, but when it comes round to writing performance reviews for 35 people, it gets a ball ache! The travelling between the two locations was a pain in the backside too. I prided myelf on not using cut and paste too, which meant I actually had to sit down and think about every individual. Now I have nobody working for me. I left to work in the family business about 18 months ago.

:scare: Hope there werent any passengers on that bus! Some of the others just look like people driving waaay to fast for the density of traffic in an enclosed space.

Yeah, they dont pick them for their ability alone - otherwise it would be full of poker faced, hard nosed business folk. They have to pick them based on how well they think they will get on with other people, and their overall character. Its got to be good television. Its a tough balancing act for Sugar, as he has to make sure that there are people in the mix that he feels he can employ on 100K, but also to make sure he delivers the ratings to the BBC. Im guessing depending on the viewing figures, Sugar will be getting enough in kickbacks from the Beeb to cover the winners salary for a good while anyway. Havent watched last nights episode, so Ill be off this topic until I have - LOL.

If you dont like the wires, you could always hardwire it in. It would involve making a small hole in the rear/bottom of the cubby hole, feeding the wire through that, and hard wiring it into the lighter wiring behind the centre console. Ive not done it myself, but I did something very similar on the Golf. Where there is a will there is a way. You could leave enough cable behind the unit in the cubby hole to allow you to pull it out and remove the unit for security, and pop it back in when you want it. It shouldnt be too difficult to get rid of the wires..

Thanks for the tip. Some others have also suggested a hairdryer and dental floss, to "cut" the badges off. Glad everything went OK, looking forward to seeing the new badges in the pics.
