  1. I know. But we deemed a 7:30 start too early for us. (we are lazy). So decided that more right foot would make the time up.
  2. Yes please! before and after pics would be great! Im on the lookout for someone to sort mine out too. Mines more toward the rear arch though. Ive got some scrapes on the front bumper to sort out too. I swear the missus has got fed up with the Z but doesn't want to tell me. She went and curbed one of the bloody rays yesterday! .
  3. Where abouts are the three who are departing from Chesterfield meeting at 8am?
  4. I looked at the crossfire when it forst came out, and was very dissapointed. The dash and interior looks as though its been ripped straight out of a 1990 Ford Sierra. Its awful. The hatch window in the rear is stupidly small and wrecks any practicality. The TT's are as common as muck. They are based on a Golf platform, as is the A3, Leon and Skoda Octavia. TT's will vary from 150hp up to the 240bhp R32 engined version. All look the same, which although they look good, they are common as muck, and really dont draw the attention that they once used to. The 350Z may not have the build quality of the Audi, but it certainly is more fun, and certainly creates more interest than the Audi.
  5. Yep - its a clarion through and through, with the BOSE logo on it. I think there are a few components that are BOSE, the sub and speakers. (hence the 2ohm resistance). The head unit itself is manufactured by Clarion, I have in the past been informed by BOSE that they have taken this particular issue up with Clarion, as obviously BOSE didnt want their name attached to substandard equipment. Apparently an issue was fixed on earlier models, so a NEW headunit (and by new it has to be new, not a refurb from someone else who sent a faulty one back) should cure the problem. I would respond to the email from BOSE stating that you are dissatisfied with a product that has their logo on it. Are they satisfied to have their logo on a stereo which has a known fault? This BOSE badged stereo has put you off buying any BOSE equipment in the future, and you will be reccomending your family and friends stay away from them as they clearly are only interested in your money, and not the manufacture of quality goods - or they would be more interested in the faults displayed by this unit they deemed worthy of their logo... That should make someone listen. (pardon the pun)
  6. As I say, wait until Ive sorted the latest unwanted mod first. Ill guinea pig the spoiler. Im sure it shouldn't be that far out - we can always offer it up to the boot and see what its like.
  7. I think the money will be spent fixing the scrapes on the front bumper that Mrs Chesterfield has managed to put on with a little help from the garage brickwork.
  8. We could make it 8am start from here, but that would probably require a little more in the way of the loud pedal on the journey over to J14 M56...
  9. J14 M56 is about 1hr 30 from Chesterfield, so an 8am start from there would be 06:30 for us. Maybe a little early? Im happy to do it if its easier for everyone else, but perhaps a 10am or 9:30am start would be better for all. That would be an 8:30 or 8am start for us Chesterfield dwellers.
  10. Thats a bit hypocritical Mike! I have some shiny chrome stuff from Halfords to put on my Z - wonder where that idea came from
  11. Its getting out of control now. hits coming in at a rate of about 200 per second. (try refreshing and look at the counter) This is the ripple effect at work!
  12. Yes - so far Val is the only coupe with a speed racing kit as far as I know. He would hardly be slagging off his own kit! LOL. Still no luck on sourcing a Greddy though. And BT seem tohave stuffed my internet connection again at home, so Ill not be doing much looking over the weekend! Doh.
  13. Chesterfield

    new 350z

That made me chuckle. Dont get a Blue one! I want to remain rare.... Ooops. Too late.
  14. Val has the speed racing kit. I dont know how much a full greddy is. Cant find a UK distributor, or even a US one that will ship to the UK. in the US, Ive found it for about $1000 which is about £600. Not too bad, but if I cant get it in the UK, then Ill have to see if I can get some friends in the US to take delivery and arrange to post it to me!
  15. Hi ! Welcome aboard - hope you enjoy the site. Be sure to get some picture up in the gallery. I can fully empathise with your situation, the Z is my better halves daily drive, and I get an oil burning Golf on a daily basis. Not anywhere near asmuch fun on dry roads on sunny days. I think Im going to hide the keys.
  16. I think a full Greddy is on the cards then.
  17. Spotted a Yellow GT 4 - reg ending 3ZZZ Travelling through clay cross, Chesterfield at about 2:15pm today.
  18. I now need some more advice. We (yes its a joint decision with the missus) have decided that we really like the Greddy kit. Well, at least the front lip and side skirts. As for the rear - thats where the advice comes in. Heres the front and sides. And yes - they do make a twin exit rear, but its a little "plain"... The rears that we may consider puttng with this are: The Nismo. and The Kaminari: Anyone got any other ideas on the rear?
  19. Sure! Put me down for this too - Kev, if you want to meet up an drive over to the "start line" together let me know when and where to meet you. Should be great if we can get a decent convoy together!
  20. Some very nice motors there. Hope the TVR badge lives on and gets through this current low. If it wasnt for the daily drive factor, and the lack of safety/control features and the fact the missus has to use her car throughout the winter, we may have ended up with a Tuscan or T350. Im sure you will be grinning from ear to ear this summer!
  21. Ah yes, I did get some close ups of the lovely pink Z. Also the snapped driveshaft Unfortunatley my view was obscured by either a chainlink fence, or a pesky R33 which prevented me from getting any decent action shots (oo err). Ill get them up ASAP.
  22. There are some known issues with the synchro apparently, but Im not too clued up on the details of these Im afraid. I am sure someone will be along to provide an answer soon. Welcome to the site by the way - Hope you enjoy it!
  23. Thats going to be waaayyy too loud.!! The kit certainly looks well though. Suits the Kuro really well.
