So $1500 * 1.23 = $1845 or about a grand. What fitting/spraying costs do you think are likely? Sorry for all the newbie questions - this will be the first bodykit I have bought/fitted - ever.
-
Hmmm - why does that not surprise me. Our Governement taxing a shipping cost... Oh well - at least the dollar rate is half decent right now. Anyone shipped anything from The Z store or modacar ? How much to shift a bodykit? if nobody knows. Ill try and give them a call when I get home and see if they can enlighten me.

Hi, Can anyone enlighten a novice in this area? Im after a Greddy Kit, and can find no UK distributor of this kit. So I have a few questions. 1) How much should I be looking at for shipping from the US. Also, what taxes/duty percentages will I be in line for on their arival. (I take it the duty and tax is applied to the price of the goods, not goods + shipping cost) 2) Will the US one fit Probably a stupid question, but I want to be sure. 3) Any idea of approximate spraying and fitting costs? Any advice gladly welcomed - Im hoping to get this little lot done before JAE.

Absolutely love Vegas, I was there only a few months ago (third time). Get yourself to the Blue Man show (bluephoria) its fantastic. They have moved to the Venitian now. Failing that get to see 'O' at the Bellagio. That is something else! Oh, and 1c star wars slot machines can get adictive - but the $1 MicheloB beer at Barbary Coast Casino helps! The new ride on top of the Stratosphere is worth looking at, but not ridng unless you are utterly insane.

I take it the buyer wants you to deliver. Well done on selling the wheels, cant beleive mine didnt even make £475 (less than the price of the tyres!) I had the same issue when picking up the Rays, but obviosly it didn't take me long to decide that they werent going to fit in my Z, I had to take the Golf. The wheels seem an awful lott bigger once offered up to a boot.

Can you beleive it!? 19 people viewing and they didnt get to a reserve of £475. Jesus, you can't even buy a set of tyres for those rims for that! Im not letting them go for less than £450, they can sit in storage and gather dust. -

Very funny - but seriously not work safe! -
Does anyone else already have this fitted to a standard cat setup? I have heard the Miltek and highflow cat setup, and really like it. Anyone know how the Nismo cat back may compare?

And here was me thinking I had bought something rare! Welcome aboard! We will need our own local meet organiser if we get many more in Chesterfield!

7 in 2 days - The Strip - Las Vegas
Chesterfield replied to Big Al 757's topic in Spotted or Flyered
Yup - I spotted loads in Vegas too. Lots of Infiniti Coupes too. -
And for this tidy sum what kind of "pub" figure can we expect? I assume this base would provide a sturdy platform to go down a serious 450+ bhp forced induction route if someone were so inclined?

Would a small thin strip of draught excluder (the sort put round door frames) make the fit a little tighter and soften/stop any rattles?

Stone Chips and Nissan's Excellent Customer Service.....Not!
Chesterfield replied to Neil's topic in 350Z General
Yes. But it may be a little missleading. Example: I tested my head for durability this morning. I dropped a brick on it from a height of seven feet, and it didn't break the skin, nor did it even hurt a bit! How hard am I! Note: Brick was from lego set no B8421, a little yellow one. -
ICE for sale including in dash screen...very cheap!

Thats a bargain! Sadly, Ive got other projects on both in the house and for the car, if I was a little more flush right now Id snap your arm off. -
Southampton Westway Nissan - Good service! :D
Chesterfield replied to Traktion's topic in 350Z General
With service like that its almost worth a drive down there! Touch wood I havent needed any assistance from Nissan yet, but good service from a dealer is one of the most important items on any car ownership list. Glad you have received great service - it is very rare in this day, from any company! -

I defy anyone at Nissan to perform this "firing a diamond at 100mph" test on my car and it not leave a chip. I have chips half way up my bonnet - how? If this paint can take direct hits from diamonds at 100mph, then how does it chip so easily. The front of my Roadster is starting to become a joke. I have a VW Golf, and although the paint on that is water based, and also chips relatively easily, it has covered almost 40,000 miles half of which on motorways or dual carriage ways, and it has just the same ammount of chips as the 350, which has barely covered 5,000 miles. In my personal opinion the paint on the Z is the worst of any car I have ever owned in terms of durability. I believe there are minimum standards that paint should meet (thats what I was led to believe by a paint expert at a recent show) - so many microns of primer, so many colour and so many lacquer. It would be interesting to find those numbers and also find someone with access to the gear to measure it on the Z and see how the paint thickness compares to other marques. I have to say, looking at the chipped areas on the Z compared to the Golf, the paint on the Z appears, to me, to be considerably thinner. NOTE: The views above are entirely my own, and not necissarily that of 350z-uk.com. No conclusions should be drawn from my opinions, nor should these opinions be used by other parties in any future action concering the matter -
Depends where the speedo gets its reading from. Anyone know? If it is the rears, then the speedo will be reading fast by about 4.4% or when your speedo says 70mph, you will actually be doing about 66.9mph You can use this tool here: http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/tyrecalc.asp Standard tyres on rear 245/45 R18 = rolling radius of 2129.06mm New tyres on rear 275/30 R19 = rolling radius of 2034.49 At least you will be safe at speed cameras as you will be going slower than your speedo says (if it reads from the rear wheels).

Nick, Ive not had call to purchase any just yet, but we do have a discount of 5% with blackcircles.com, they seem to have quite reasonable prices by all accounts. As I say, Ive not purchased any yet, so cant say Ive done a massive ammount of research - Im sure someone will be along shortly to advise.

I think we need to make a download section for all the various items. Flyers, spotted cards, spec sheets, etc etc. Ill get one set up.

Im hoping mine will be seen as a "backup" if yours get "too expensive" - LOL. Probably started formulating my advert before you actually - its just that its the first thing Ive ever sold, so it took me AGES to work it out! LOL. Good luck with yours too - seem to be going well. -

Well, a set went on ebay recently for £720, and the only difference between mine and those is a £50 repair job (if really wanted) round one of the lug holes. So I reckon £200 less than that other set would be a fair ish price. And Ive not even set my reserve at that! The auctions only half a day old though, so Im not too bothered. Im new to this ebay lark, so dont really know what to expect, but Ive got a garage full of junk to practice with! -

Very funny. Got a bit of stif competition with those GT4 wheels! Ive let the SX OC know about my wheels too, but it seems the £50 repair job needed for one wheel may be putting people off. The bloody tyres would be £500 new. Some people want the moon on a stick. -
Cant remember putting my name down for this - LOL. Glad I did though! Is it £20 per car for the whole weekend, or £20 per car per day?
-
I will ceratinly be interested in the outcome of those discussions - in my opinion the chances of the Z's paint standing up to that is about zero. A full "glass out" respray with thicker, harder paint under warranty would be nice.
