Hi all, new to here but have a Rev up fairlady roadster that hesitates in revs if kept at 1.5-2kish revs, certain its a grounding issue just wandered if anyone has any instructions/pics of the grounding points. Purchased bog standard HKS 5 point kit from Amazon to just try out and see if the issue goes.
-
Old post but do you still have those instructions?

First time on in years and nice to see some old names pop up, iv just got the Zed going again after three years of not turning a wheel. Will hopefully get to a meet or show this year 🤞 -
Nope. Black, beige or the funky orange/netting options are the only ones I’ve ever seen.

So after waiting a while for some more parts to be delivered. I don't some BC damper extenders. They aren't a exact match to the Air Lift Performance dampers, so took some modifications. To file down the diameter to fit the caps on the BC adjusters. For reference for the 350z go foe the smallest size adjusters, like 100mm or something. I had to trim mine down considerably. Which was a faff. Anyway fully adjustable and fitted now. Glad to be able to make the ride softer for long journeys.

Finally got the car in the air today and got stripping. Glad I did, looks like I'm just in time to save this old girl! Subframe off, tank off and I found a few things that definitely need replacing. Day of wire brushing tomorrow.

Their local customer ordered and then cancelled it after waiting months to arrive. They actually messaged us if we want to buy it.

Got to be clearance stock that they've had stuck on the shelf for god knows how long, retail below and that's excluding VAT: Regardless, whether they're £560 per side or full RRP, £700 for a set is still a considerable saving.

Have you looked at https://www.willtheyfit.com ? Really cool website that allows you to punch in current and new tyre, alloy and wheel sizes so you can see how a new setup could and would change, everything from poke, offset and even speed variation I've used it for years, it might well help you find a set of wheels that would fit perfectly 👌

Okay, much will depend on how much interference you have. Perhaps a shim type spacer may work, retaining the OEM studs. You will have to calculate how much interference you have and work out what size of spacer you want/require. Failing that, you may have to replace the oem studs for something a bit longer. Keep in mind that the width of the wheel and the offset are only part of the calculation. Width of tyre and suspension drop all cause interference issues. Regarding being too wide for the fronts? All depends on what stance you are after and how much clearance there is between wing and tyre. Perhaps it would be a good plan to get a set of Rotas that are compatible with your car and clear the calipers to save all the flaffing about.
